PREMIER 12 Official Emblem Reveal Animation

The official emblem for ‘PREMIER 12’ has just been unveiled at a launch event in Tokyo.

As part of the project to design the brand identity and official look for the tournament, the Works also produced an emblem reveal animation to launch the brand in Tokyo.

“The Premier 12 emblem encapsulates the dynamic energy that embraces the new competition, whilst celebrating the fabric of the game and its rich heritage. The 12 stars form a seal on the ball; representing the 12 elite teams that will earn their place in the WBSC’s new flagship tournament. The official emblem animation embodies these values; exploring the make-up of a traditional ball, with each component adding a new layer of the game’s progression, but retaining its vital history at its core.”


EPCR Champions Cup TV Ad

Following a successful inaugural season kick-off of EPCR’s new flagship tournament, we were asked to produce a TV spot to promote the new competition and the Final at Twickenham in May.

Iconic players were projected onto CGI renders of the new trophy, which the Works co-designed with master silversmiths Thomas Lyte. The 20” spot is currently broadcast in the UK and Ireland and across various digital platforms.


The PSA World Tour

The world governing body for the professional squash circuit, the Professional Squash Association, has commissioned the Works to develop a new look for the international PSA World Tour.

With over 750 registered players and over 200 worldwide events every year, the PSA World Tour showcases the game of squash at its highest level in some of the world’s most unique and stunning locations. The new look will reflect that the PSA now administers both the men’s and women’s professional game.


The World Baseball Softball Confederation

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) have commissioned the Works to design the official look of their new Premier 12 tournament.
 
The Premier 12 platform, which uses the top 12 in the WBSC rankings for qualification, will be the sport’s Grand Prix event, distributing US$ multi-millions in prize money.

“The WBSC is thrilled to partner with industry leaders like the Works to develop a universally appealing and exciting look that not only captures but enhances what the Premier 12 brand represents, and collectively elevates the profile of the WBSC,” said Masaru Yokoo, WBSC Baseball Marketing Director.


Football Business Awards 2014

The Works are proud to continue our creative partnership and sponsorship of The Football Business Awards. 

This year we sponsored the Best Club Marketing Campaign. Design Director Dave Gledhill announced and presented the award to Notts County FC for their BENCH program. Many congratulations to them.


Supporting Stand Up To Cancer

As part of the Cancer Research/Channel4 ‘Stand Up To Cancer’ campaign, the Works are proud to have supported the ‘March On Cancer’ live events that took part across the UK last week.

The events saw approx 15,000 people marching in 15 cities and the Works were responsible for creating most of, and managing all of the onscreen content that went out on giant LED screens at each location. We wish Cancer Research and Channel 4 every success with the live Stand Up To Cancer show on friday.


The Works sponsor key session at ‘Leaders’

UEFA General Secretary Gianni Infantino’s keynote interview at the Sport Business Summit was sponsored by the Works. The session was attended by the world’s sports media and included insights into new competition formats, financial fair play, doping and integrity in football.

The Works in New York!

The Works are looking to branch into America with a new offering in New York.

Having already successfully opened Works Brasil in São Paulo back in 2012, the Works are now setting their sites on the Big Apple. Already in talks with potential partners it could be a great new adventure to start 2015… We’ll keep you posted!


EPCR Broadcast & Brand

The Works has been working closely with European Professional Club Rugby (the new governing body of Champions Cup and Challenge Cup rugby) to develop all brand communications including brand, broadcast, advertising and secondary corporate and tournament brand attributes.

Solheim Cup

Commissioned by the LEP (Ladies European Tour) on behalf of the Solheim Family, we were asked to refine and re-model the existing Solheim Cup Logo.

The main focus was to maintain the prestigious form of the Waterford Crystal trophy, to make the logo more user friendly for production on items such as merchandise and graphically portray the nationalities of Europe and USA coming together for this womens professional golf competition.
